Pork Rib Seasoning
Blackberry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce
Directions
Pork Ribs
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Rinse and dry the ribs. If desired, remove membrane from the back of the ribs. Mix the Adobo Fire and Sazon Desire in a small bowl.
Find an oven safe dish big enough to hold the ribs and add aluminum foil. You will need enough foil to wrap your ribs up like a gift. Add the dry ribs to the dish and slather the mustard on the “back” side of the ribs and sprinkle enough seasoning to give a decent cover. Turn the ribs and slather the ribs with the rest of the mustard and sprinkle enough seasoning to cover the ribs. Add the rosemary or thyme on top of the ribs.
Cover your ribs loosely and into the oven it goes. Cook for about 2 hours. Don’t peak, it will be fine.
Remove the ribs and raise the temperature to 350. Uncover your ribs and add as much Blackberry Jalapeno BBQ sauce as you wish.
Add the ribs back to the oven uncovered and cook for 30 additional minutes, basting with additional sauce halfway through.
Remove the ribs and let sit covered for 10 minutes. Cut the ribs up and enjoy!
Blackberry Jalapeno BBQ Sauce
In a medium size saucepan, heat oil and sauté onion until translucent—about 1-2 minutes in medium heat. So about a 5-6 on an electric stove. Add ginger and garlic and cook for 45 seconds. I know, it smells amazing!
Add all other ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Taste and adjust flavors with more Adobo Fire, if needed. Cook for an additional 20 minutes. Add all to a blender or use a hand blender to smooth the sauce. I personally like it chunky, so I do a quick a blend. It’s ready to go!
